Plastic Polypropylene Pall Rings are a type of tower packing used in distillation, absorption, and stripping columns in the chemical industry. They are made of polypropylene, a thermoplastic polymer that is known for its high chemical resistance, low density, and good mechanical strength.

The Pall Ring design consists of a cylindrical tube with several rows of windows or openings. The rings are stacked in the column, allowing the liquid to flow through the windows and the gas to flow around the rings. This design provides a large surface area for mass transfer between the gas and liquid phases, improving the efficiency of the column.

Product Description

Plastic pall ring random packing is a proven design that provides higher capacity and lower pressure drop than trays and other random packing. By minimizing the number of contours and crevices that can cause liquid hold-up and potential entrainment, the pall ring geometry enables high gas and liquid transfer rates. The open cylinder walls and inward bent protrusion of the pall ring allow greater capacity and lower pressure drop than standard cylindrical rings.

Performance Characteristics

An advancement on the raschig ring, the pall ring has similar cylindrical dimensions but has two rows of windows with webs within the cylinder, which significantly increases the performance of the packing, in terms of throughput, efficiency and pressure drop.

We are able to offer these in a variety of plastic: Polypropylene, PVC, PVDF, HDPE and glass filled and high temperature resistant Polypropylene.

As standard we offer our Pall Rings in a natural color but if you need a different colour we are more than happy to help.
